Getting involved in the May Fair

Everybody involved in the May Fair is a volunteer, including all the musicians and artists, and they all give their time and effort for free to make this such a special event. If you would like to help with the event or your business can offer its services please get in contact.

The May Fair relies on the hard work of a lot of volunteers for its success. Throughout the months leading up to the May Fair, the committee coordinates the legal issues, administration, artist and stall booking etc. However, as the day itself approaches, we need more and more help!

The main tasks are:

  • Stewarding
2 hour shifts making sure the day runs smoothly
  • Recycling
1 hour shifts helping to recycle
  • Bar
1 or 2 hour shifts helping run the bar
  • Donation collection
May fairies and pixies who help collect money for charity
  • Construction
Working over the weekend to build up and break down the event

It's a lot of fun being involved in the May Fair (otherwise we wouldn't do it) and really rewarding to be involved in such a great community event.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact us on info@wivenhoemayfair.com.

Performing at the May Fair

The May Fair is a free festival run by volunteers with all the funds we raise going to charity so we cannot offer artists a fee.
